Our History
Since 1974, Mary’s Cakery & Candy Kitchen has built it’s reputation on delicious, high quality homemade cakes and candies. Mary, the company’s co-owner and namesake, began baking cakes out of her home, and after stumbling upon the joy of candy making in 1995, soon found her business expanding beyond her kitchen’s capacity. She eventually settled into more than 7000 square feet of production and show room space in the small town of King George, Virginia in 1998.
Today, Mary’s offers a variety of mouth-watering delights, including gourmet cakes, cookies, pies, and fudge. Her 2300 square foot showroom boasts an extensive array of candies. You’ll find barrels and jars full of pick and mix sweets, an entire room dedicated to nostalgic candies, and handmade confections made with only the highest quality raw ingredients. Offering over 4000 distinct specialty chocolate molds, Mary’s is capable of creating rich, smooth, creamy chocolate shapes to suit nearly every occupation and occasion.
